Welcome to Occuthon 2011
Starting at 7pm ET on December 16th, you can share your thoughts with us live at
We are currently compiling a list of multiple Occupy charities to support during the 24-hour Occuthon radio marathon. In an effort to avoid any funds being misdirected to processing costs or administrative fees, we will encourage people to donate directly to the charity of their choice.
If you operate an Occupy charity or know of one that you would like to see included, please send the contact information to Occuthon@Gmail.com.
We will be posting a list of all our scheduled guests and co-hosts here as they are confirmed. If you would like to be a guest during the Occuthon or would like to suggest a guest for us to contact, please email us at Occuthon@Gmail.com.
Nicole Sandler is the host of “The Nicole Sandler Show” which broadcasts live on RadioOrNot.com weekdays from 10 am to Noon, Eastern. A veteran of Progressive talk radio (including Air America), Nicole is a regular guest host for Randi Rhodes.
She’s also our”landlord” at Radio or Not on Ustream and we thank her for joining us and letting us broadcast this event to support the Occupy movement!
Sam Seder hosts The Majority Report political talk show every weekday at 11:30am Eastern and regularly appears on many TV news outlets including CNN, CSNBC, and Current.
Sam’s 12-hour marathon to highlight the two-month anniversary of Occupy Wall Street was the major inspiration behind the Occuthon. We are honored that he is joining us during this event.
Tina calls herself a “frustrated paleontologist, realized syndicated op-ed columnist and managing editor of Crooks and Liars“. She is also one of the major inspirations behind Occuthon.
Not only is she brilliant and beautiful, but she has been extremely active in supporting the Occupy movement, including putting together the Crooks and Liars drive to send pizza to Occupiers all over the nation!
“#occupier, speaker, rabble rouser. http://jesselagreca.org is his official web site.” is how Jesse describes himself on Twitter.
We describe him as one of our inspirations for this event.
If we had to pick one person to represent Occupy, this is the guy.
Please check out Jesse’s many media appearances and we think you’ll agree.
Prior to going nationwide, Stephanie pulled #1 ratings at KABC and KFI in Los Angeles and other radio stations in New York and Chicago.
You know her from tons of exposure on TV, and on comedy’s prime stages: host of CNBC’s Equal Time, Oxygen TV’s I’ve Got a Secret, and many others. Stephanie has also appeared on CNN’s Joy Behar, Larry King Live, Reliable Sources, as well as MSNBC’s The Ed Show, Hannity and Colmes and Neal Cavuto on Fox News, the Today Show, the Tonight Show, Good Morning America, among many others.
Stephanie comes to the left, from the right. She’s the daughter of William Miller, Barry Goldwater’s 1964 Republican presidential running mate.
Her humor and snappy political wit draws listeners from all sides and makes her the perfect antidote to cantankerous conservatives.
The Stephanie Miller Show is produced by WYD Media Management and is syndicated by Dial-Global Networks, the nation’s leading independent radio programming company.
Hal Sparks was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, raised in Kentucky – a little town called Peaks Mill. Don’t strain your brain, you’ve never heard of it. He lived in the sticks, was a boy Scout, started taking karate there when he was 8 years old, saw The Shining when he was 7. Hal didn’t have a TV so he spent most of his life listening to comedy records – when he wasn’t at the movies.
Hal has always been a bit of a video game nut, and back then, that meant that you actually had to stand at a video machine for hours (you kids today!). When he was 14, Hal decided he’d had enough of “country livin’” and moved to Chicago to live with his Dad, where he went to New Trier High School, a huge school with a great theater department that, quite frankly, should have expelled him. But, much to their credit, they didn’t, and Hal was able to start doing standup at 15 years old.
Hal won the Funniest Teenager in Chicago contest when he was 17 years old, the same year he starred in Frog, starring Elliott Gould, Shelley Duval and Scott Grimes. Hal also hosted a game show called “Treasure Mall.”
John calls himself an “actor, comedian, writer, TV & radio person, photographer & recovering cynic.” We recognize him for being an amazing activist and friend of Occupy.
John also headlines with The Stephanie Miller Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour and co-hosts two of our favorite radio shows. You can listen to John every Thursday with Nicole Sandler on Radio or Not and every Friday on The Stephanie Miller Show.

You can listen to Nicole every Monday in her “Fools on the Hill” segment on The Nicole Sandler Show and you can often find her on all of the Radio or Not nightly shows!
